Denton's Lakes and Snakes - part 1 of 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

by John Denton Published 01/04/2014

This compilation arose from a teaching session led by John Denton at the Lake District Centre, Rydal Hall at the back end of last year and then by a shoot carried out by John involving model, Jade and a number of legless models including Suzy in his studio. The weather in the Lakes was a bit gruesome but was brightened by our models Della and Nikki; the weather at the studio was more under control but the den of vipers made it very interesting especially for model, Jade! Here are John's thoughts:

I've said it before in articles, that I love the places my camera takes me to.

I have had experiences that would never have otherwise come my way since taking up photography. One of these came last weekend when I shared the studio with two models, a make-up artist, a great friend and fellow photographer and 10 snakes. Boa constrictors to be exact. Ranging from a few inches to eight feet, the reptiles were a totally new experience for me.
