"Unlike the props, the backgrounds are available from the Click Props website," says Charlie, "and by the time we were selling them at the Convention there were already hundreds of them out there. We launched them because we saw a gap in the market, and from the very beginning we determined to listen to the market and to take note of what photographers wanted. For example, our backgrounds are made out of hardwearing vinyl and they feature a series of eyelets across the top so that they can be hung in seconds. This can be crucial for a photographer wanting to use a variety of backgrounds in a single session. We also took note of the fact that some photographers wanted larger sizes, and so we introduced our 7ft x 9.5ft (2.13m x 2.9m) Maxi Background, which is the biggest designer vinyl background you can get."

These backgrounds are all designed by CCC's in-house digital artists and are manufactured in the UK. The smaller two sizes in the range are a 5ft x 5ft (1.52m x 1.52m), (named by Click as a Floorground) which is ideal for flooring and newborn art and kids, and a 5ft x 8ft (1.52m x 2.44m) version that's perfect for full-length individuals, fashion and family portraiture.

"We also knew that photographers wanted a variety of styles to work with and so there are now over 160 designs in the range, and we're adding to these all the time," says Charlie. "We've also considered details, such as the fact that photographers want to be able find particular backgrounds quickly, and so they come rolled into a clear plastic tube so that you can see what they are without having to take them out. Price is important as well, and the backgrounds start at less than £50 plus VAT (£59.50 including VAT), which is affordable for most photographers."
