Chasing the Light in the Land of 50 Shades of Grey
'I hope that people come away from myMasterclass with a better understanding ofwhat's involved in shooting a wedding, and howthey could push themselves to work differentlyto other photographers in their area.' That's Tom'saim for what he hopes people will gain fromlistening to him speak at the Convention. 'I gavethe class its title because up here in Scotland italways seems to be grey, so you have to look forthe breaks of light if you want to do somethingdifferent to everyone else!'

Tom will also be talking through the thoughtprocess behind some of the panel of images thatgained him his Associateship qualification thisyear in January. He'll be telling the stories behindthe pictures and how the bride and groom, thevenue, and the weather all came together tocreate successful images. Tom is also quick tohighlight the other benefits of attending a largeconference such as The Societies' Convention;'Photography can be very insular. You can sit withyour head buried deep in your computer and nottalk to anybody. That's a great reason for going totraining events - sometimes you can learnmore from the people in the crowd than thespeakers themselves because of the networkingthat goes on!' Tom's Masterclass will surely bea great combination of both learning from hismethods as well as meeting other people in theaudience who will have their own experiences toshare and stories to tell. It's certainly a class thatis not to be missed.
