Fujifilm Rather than just paper, such as its latest fine art and canvas Photographic Artwork range (www.fuji.co.uk/parange), Fuji is keen to promote its full 'Green Box' solution for wide-format printers to photographer members of The Societies. Part of this is Easy Studio Print V4. As it sounds, it's an easy print application, and one directed at users of Epson, HP and Canon wide-format printers. Designed to save you time and media, it's a cross-platform, PC and Mac compatible software solution. ESP V4 supports the latest Epson Stylus Pro printers, HP Z-series printers and the Canon iPF photo printers. Software is provided with ICC profiles for a wide range of inkjet media, including all Fujifilm Professional inkjet media.

Fuji suggests operation is as simple as preparing images in Adobe Photoshop or alternative imaging software, then selecting the image, the print size, your media of choice, and hitting print! Supported file formats are PSD, TIFF, JPEG, TGA and GIF.

ESP V4 uses five simple steps: an image browser uses new faster browsing to find the folder that contains your images. Thumbnails are generated and shown at the bottom part of the interface. Folders that are used frequently such as a 'Ready to Print' folder can be added to the favourites.

Next up a Photo Pack Editor allows users to create any custom or pack size, whilst pre-defined templates will resize images in single, multiple or edgedefined fashion. Thirdly an Image Edit function can select fill or fit, rotate, mirror, zoom and pan. Colour-managed editing is a new option in offering all the usual controls including sepia and duotone options. The fourth step is to select the media profile by selecting the name of the paper. All necessary colour, media and profile settings are made automatically. The fifth step, that of Print Options, allows us to select the number of copies, crop marks, boundary marks, and then to press the big print button. If this sounds like something your photography business could benefit from, then head to the address below.
