To encourage high professional standards and ethics in photography by providing continued training programmes that benefit both the experienced professional and the newcomer to the industry. Through our publications, events and community, we promote development and open discussion about all aspects of the photography business — and champion the interests of photographers worldwide.

To provide focused, practical assessment of photographic products and techniques of specific interest to photographers who earn money from their work — keeping members informed about meaningful developments in capture, editing and output.

To encourage newcomers to the profession by providing ongoing support, image assessments, qualifications and competitions — inspiring them to pursue and achieve their goals.

To cultivate friendship and understanding among photographers from all corners of the globe, through alliances with international associations and a genuinely worldwide membership community.
