Cable release

A flexible cable that screws into the camera’s shutter release, this enables the shutter to be fired remotely. Some have a lock so that the shutter can be held open on the B setting. Predominantly useful for slow shutter speeds and time exposures, when touching the camera may cause camera shake and blurring of the image
