Cibachrome

SWPP Photographic Glossary

Cibachrome, now known as Ilfochrome, is a photographic printing material developed by Ilford for creating high-quality prints directly from colour transparencies (slides). Renowned for its vivid colours, sharpness, and archival stability, this process produces prints with exceptional longevity and colour fidelity. Although the name changed over a decade ago, the Ilfochrome process remains valued by professional photographers for producing durable and vibrant colour prints.
